Luxurious slipper boots

Hello ladies. Wondering if you can help.
My DD (early 20s) would like some slippers for Christmas, boot style.
I’m thinking of a bit of luxury here, done the Debenhams animal ones but can’t really find what I’m looking for. She doesn’t want them to look too old lady!
Can anyone help? I was looking at UGG slippers but they don’t seem to do boot style ones. Thank you

I buy UGG boots rather than the UGG slippers. Nothing else comes close for me.

BunTooti · 19/11/2020 16:09

To use as slippers...if that wasn't clear Grin

HeyLala · 19/11/2020 16:10

Try the Ugg Ultra minis. I've had a leopard pair for Christmas off my daughter. She just doesn't know it yet 🤣

SpaceOp · 19/11/2020 16:16

The White Company have changed their boot slippers after a couple of years of not selling them. But their old ones were AMAZING and the most wonderful luxurious slippers I've ever owned so would definitely consider the ones they'r enow offering.

Cheaper ones that I have had the last few years are from here. They are also lovely and very comfy and luxurious feeling. I have the classic ones but I see they do have more lux versions.

Thanks for those suggestions. I was thinking of a softer sole. Maybe have to look at other makes. Fancy those UGGs for myself though.

I know what you mean. The original ones I used to get from the White Company had a very soft but thick and comfortable sole. It's hard to tell from the pictures if the ones they have now are the same. The others I posted are definitely still soft soled. I definitely would not want to wear them out (although can dash out to take out garbage or whatever).

Thanks SpaceOp I’ve sent her a link to the White Company slippers.
It’s definitely the sort of thing I’m looking for.
Fancy a pair myself now!

if you do get them, please send me a DM to tell me what they're like. Because honestly, I LOVED mine. It was like a soft cuddly cloud for my feet. If we get to get out a bit more in December, there's a fairly good White Company store that I usually pop into at Christmas so I can look myself if that's the case. But am not hugely optimistic.

I did notice the last time I was at my sister's that hers (that I gave her one year) were lying in a pile looking extremely sad. So I assume she, like me, has worn them into the ground and can't quite bear to part with them!! Grin

I like these... www.whitestuff.com/womens/nightwear/navy-multi-patchwork-slipper-bootie/
I always get a pair of slipper boots from white stuff or fat face and they're always really nice.

winniemum · 19/11/2020 20:30

I like those too crazzycatlady. I’ve sent the link to my daughter.
Will let you know if I get her some White Company ones Spaceop. Thank you!

Try Helen Moore slipper boots. Pricy but so cute, they have totally soft soles and come in loads of colours (no good outdoors!). My current pair are on their way out and it's making me really sad

I'm thinking I might go for a pair of Sheepers next but not sure if they will be what you're looking for

ferretface · 19/11/2020 20:40

UGG Alena? They can be worn as boots or folded down to fluffy slippers.

justchecking1 · 19/11/2020 21:37

I have the Hush sheepskin slipper boots and they're amazing. Hideously expensive though, and they don't wash at all

Artesia · 19/11/2020 22:07

A word of warning- If you order the White Company ones, just have a quick check of the soles. I don't know if it's changed now, but for a while they had smooth suede soles. I loved them, and wore them loads, but after a few wears they got incredibly slippy. I skidded down stairs wearing them and tore all the ligaments in my ankle. Ouch! I now won't buy any that don't have some kind of grip on the sole.

Thank you ladies. Have forwarded all your responses to her.
She works incredibly hard (NHS) so deserves some really lovely ones and I don’t mind paying!

Look at Celtic & Co, definitely worth the investment. Mine are 9 years old and practically look new. You can wash them with wool wash in the washing machine. The fleece is actual sheepskin, rather then acrylic, and it has not packed down or anything like acrylic would have done by now.
