Recommended surgeon for breast enlargement

Does anyone happen to know of a good surgeon, based in the UK.

I am considering having breast enlargement surgery and am trying to research who / where would be the best to go to. I'm in the SE but can travel, though not abroad ideally.

OR anyone you really wouldn't recommend (If it didn't go too well).

Thanks for any advice. I'm still in the 'research' stage.

I'm interested too - I like the focus on a natural - looking result from this clinic :

Not red rose.

Based in Warrington.

Whilst I'm happy with the results, the aftercare was nil to non existent.

I suffered with an infection on one side. Literally had to push them to see me because they said it wasn't - without seeing me.

Please don't go with them.

Google aftercare reviews which I didn't! Only results reviews.

If you get an infection it's hard to save the implant. Then you may have to have it removed. Then you should wait six months before they replace it.

They saved mine but had they acted sooner I would've saved myself two months of antibiotics and being on a drain. It wasn't pleasant at all.

I have a lot of scarring on one side which you can't see as it's where the crease is but still.

@nancybotwinbloom
Wow. Thanks for replying. That does sound awful. Sorry you went through that.
I hadn't quite realised how serious infection afterwards is. Do you know how / why yours got infected?

Well. My husband was there when they drained it the first time round.

I was there obv but I was under a local anethestic so I didn't see anything.

The second time round...he was there also

This is brutal!

He said "it looked like they pulled something out of you like a swab but literally three or four pints of shit fell out of you, then this stuff that looked like custard (maybe the a swap from the op bit we don't know) and then he sewed you up. The consultant was literally knuckles deep scooping shit out of you. I was in the bed counting mentally, to try and block it out)

If you want natural looking results, I can recommend James McDiarmid.

pinkdragons · 19/11/2020 22:12

Nancy that sounds truly horrific! Hope you're fully recovered.

@sekactao thank you, I will keep note of this & look him up

Marc Pacifico is a perfectionist and a true professional. Highly recommend.

Yes fully recovered now but it wasn't great at the time.

I'd wanted implants since is was about 18.

O could afford them, I'd saved for them. I'd had the money a few years previously and I found out I was pregnant two weeks before the op. Obv the money I had saved went on my DD. Cot, clothes etc.

I saved the money again and when you have wanted something that much it was awful mentally just thinking for a time it was a waste of money. Plus the fact I had to walk round with a drain for six weeks.

It ruined the whole experience if you get me. I'd saved for this. I'd done it to myself.

It was shit if I'm honest.

I'd be asking what happens if it goes wrong.

How soon will you see me after the op.

What's the support like if this happens to me.

I have a lot of scarring on one side. Only me and DH can see it. It doesn't matter to us. Scarring may matter to you.

I had mine done 6 weeks ago with a brilliant surgeon in Sheffield. Andrew Morritt, works out of Claremont and Thornbury private hospitals, also does NHS stuff. You want a proper breast surgeon not just a general plastic surgeon. My friend who is also a surgeon (a different speciality) said he wouldn’t allow his wife to use anyone but this guy.
