Skincare for seborrheic dermatitis

Any help gratefully received!

I've had a tiny bit of eczema all my life, kept it under control by avoiding irritants and my skin was lovely 99%of the time.

About 2 years ago my face broke out in red, sore, rough patches. After being misdiagnosed twice by GPs as having rosecca I made an appointment privately with a dermatologist who diagnosed seborrheic dermatitis. He prescribed Protopic, a course of steroids and dandrazool (sp?) as a face wash. I couldn't take the steroids for long as they affected my sleep, the dandrazool made no difference and the protopic did help but I don't want to use it indefinitely.

So for a year I've been using Dermol as a face wash and zero base as a moisturiser. Skin is 70% better, there is not much flaking and redness comes and goes but never completely better. It often feels quite sore.

I would love a moisturiser to soothe the redness, I'm sure something exists that can help but I'm too scared to try anything in case it makes it worse.

Has anyone used anything that works? Or make up to cover up? I use Chanticlie tinted moisturiser which is brill but not enough coverage.

Please don't tell me if yours never got better.. I've literally been suicidal over how I look and feel and am in need of help! All stuff online so woolly or contradictory.

Tia!
