How to wear a cord skirt...

I impulse bought an ebay bargain of an ash pink Benetton cord skirt, which arrived today. Not a colour I would usually wear, but I've lost weight and am trying to diversify.

It's longer than I thought - A line, about half way down my knees, buttons down the front. Waist band just over the belly button so not super high rise, but I suppose a bit.

I think it would've looked better a little shorter, but I do really like it- it's just very different from what I usually wear.

What should I pair it with? For work and for home?

How about a ribbed polo neck and knee boots? Its would be easy and inexpensive to have it shortened if you'd prefer that.

Ash pink? Is it dusky pink? If so, I'd wear it with navy or charcoal grey tights and brown boots.

A nice chunky knit jumper: lots of texture.

Short Cable or Argyle jumper and boots.

Jumper that stops at the waist.

I've a black ribbed bodysuit turtleneck thing currently on the way. Would that work do you think? With charcoal tights and black ankle boots?

Could you post a photo of the skirt?

I wear mine with shorter jumpers, tights and loafers.
