Desperate for a comfy bra

I’m so uncomfortable and am getting sore marks under my arms etc where my bras are rubbing. The wires dig in, the straps too, the band feels tight and I just can’t wait to get it off at the end of the day.

I know I probably need to be remeasured as I’ve put on weight but it’s not so much that as the feel of the bras in general - I’m desperate for something soft that feels nice against my skin. But with big boobs I also need some support.

Please can anyone recommend anything?

I quite rate Asda bras. I'm a 34f and find their bras comfy , be it wired or unwired.
They are also cheap so not a big loss of it turns out not to be the right one for you.

That is so weird I ordered Asda bras during lockdown and they are so comfortable I just ordered some more last week.

You need to go to a good bra shop like Bravissimo who will measure you properly and recommend a variety of bras that will be comfy. If a bra is uncomfortable, it just doesn’t fit you. As different bras will suit different bodies, it’s really important to go somewhere with lots of variety.
Personally I won’t go anywhere other than Bravissimo. I’m a 34FF and I’ve never had an uncomfortable bra from them.

I've been doing a lot of research on this for the same reason, and I'm about to buy some bralettes - opting for the Millie from figleaves and something from Tutti Rouge. I think the Freya Fancies ones are also supposed to be good for big boobs. I'm WFH so can't be arsed with a 'proper' bra but I need support (34E here).

For a budget option I have a couple of plain stretchy black bralette / crop tops from Morrison's, they're made from a sort of thick tights material. Not very pretty but super comfy and quite supportive and only 6 quid.

I’m the same with a bulging bra drawer to prove it- the only solution now for me is a “padded vest top” from Amazon - they give support with light padding for modesty.There are fancier feminine crop versions but day to day best is the full length vest and shapewear versions are available too- they seem to be made for a different market so I go for XXL (medium boobed 12) just be aware you’ll never want to wear a bra again!

Oh I have so many bras that don't fit or dig in. I also wear bra tops they offer some support.and are comfortable.

Bravissimo Nova lounge bra. I'm wearing one right now in 30FF. I like Molke too, but the Nova is just as supportive, but way less bulky, and with back fastening, so easier to put on. Those stretchy comfort bras every shop seems to sell nowadays never do anything for me, but nova is totally fine to use as a normal bra also out of the house.

I had to go to Victoria's Secret in America in an emergency shopping trip when I was on holiday as a wire came out of the one black bra I had brought with me. I was shocked I liked the bras so much, their T Shirt bras are so soft and comfortable.

I had wrongly assumed they catered to teenagers and supermodel type figures.

It sounds like a fitting is needed tbh. I'm trying out a few non wired options for around the house (wfh) but so far not much success. Bravissimo Zara is the best I've found. The Nova seemed good but I had to take it off after a few hours as the strap was too thin and the band was flipping and digging in. I couldn't get on with Molke either.

I agree, Asda. I’m a 36G & they’re the most comfortable bras I’ve ever bought & I’ve tried most. They do some really pretty styles & colours too & at £8 not a great outlay.

I've given up on wired bras and wear crop top style sports bras from Primark. Life is too short to be dealing with red marks and being uncomfortable.

I wear the Millie by Bravissimo if I have to wear a bra. It is the only bra I've had that is instantly comfortable and needs no wearing in - I have 5. However, it's still an underwired bra and with big boobs a decent amount of scaffolding so if I'm just hanging around at home or going for a walk I wear the Sugar Candy bra lounge bra that is also available on the Bravissimo website.

Sloggi Zero Feel are the most comfortable bras. I wear the bralettes with the moulded cup inserts at a 34E. It's spoilt me for any other bra.

Uniqlo, so so soft and comfy, they have different kinds.

i had a fitting at john lewis a while back which was great as i was wearing the wrong size entirely. The fitter did explain that i would find the bra a bit uncomfy till i got used to it - the bit that goes round you ribs has to be tight so that it can support your boobs and its not all left to your shoulders. i guess people wont be doing this service at the moment though due to covid?

Not scratchy at all, I'm very sensitive to scratchy!
