I love this and very much associate it with being an Autumn/Winter scent as it's spicy and intense when up close but not overpowering www.joloves.com/pink-vetiver-50ml.html

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 14/11/2020 21:00

I really like CK Eternity Moment - it's light enough for everyday, but distinctive enough to feel special

myhumps123 · 14/11/2020 21:02

Shay and Blue- Black Tulip
Liz Earle- No 15

Shmithecat2 · 14/11/2020 21:05

Budget dependent - CoCo Chanel is always my number one. I also love Jo Malone Peony and Blush Suede. Cheaper end of the scale, Next do some lovely fragrances, as do Pacifica.

OrangeIsTheNewTwat · 14/11/2020 21:21

Chloe Nomade
Lancome Poeme
Elie Saab - these three tie for recent favourites...
But my all time favourite is Coco Mademoiselle.

LightOfAThousandStars · 14/11/2020 21:41

Lancome Idole and Givenchy l'interdit

newnewnewbuild · 14/11/2020 21:42

My favourite is Baccarat Rouge 540 but it's so expensive.

For more reasonably priced options I love Armani Si and the cherry blossom L'occitane scent (not sure of its proper name)

Thanks for your suggestions Smile

I like Armani Diamonds (esp the violet one, which reminds me of Jo Malone peony but cheaper).

YSL Black Opium is gorgeous. Zara do a great dupe of it called Gardenia.

Lucked · 14/11/2020 21:49

Narciso Rouge - powdery floral and woody. Little bit different and striking bottle.

ghislaine · 14/11/2020 22:09

My all-time favourite: 24 Faubourg by Hermes. I hesitate to recommend it because once you have experienced it, not thing else ever seems to come close!

Other scents I like:

Chanel Cristalle
Hermes Eau d’orange vert cologne
Prada Infusion d’Iris
Givenchy Amarige
Penhaligon As Sawira

Am I bad for laughing?

Silage is grass and stuff that is squished together in black plastic bags where it ferments a bit and goes brown, before being fed to farm animals. You don’t want to smell like that.

Sillage, on the other hand...

BarryWhiteIsMyBrother · 15/11/2020 09:46

HErmes Rue Fauborg

SentientAndCognisant · 15/11/2020 10:11

Haha not bad in the least😀 I’ve described smelling like a wurzel

teta · 15/11/2020 10:27

Clinique Wrappings.

Its a great wintry, christmassy perfume smelling of Christmas trees, snowy mountains and fresh air. It's only released around Christmas time and can often be found on sale afterwards.

RaraRachael · 15/11/2020 10:29

Diorissimo
Jo Malone myrrh and tonka bean
H and M t-shirt

Perfumista · 15/11/2020 12:10

Jo Malone Myrrh and Tonka. Absolutely amazing. I treated myself to a bottle in London early last year. My 6 year old son was horrified at the cost and shouted to DP and his brother "Mummy's just spent £76 on a bottle of perfume". I still have about 10ml left of a 50ml bottle, so I actually think it is good value, when I wear it quite a lot. I also love Frederic Malle "Portrait of a Lady" and YSL "Elle".

AConvivialHost · 15/11/2020 12:24

Cheap and cheerful but my all time favourite is Cerutti 1881. I first bought it after smelling it on my housemate about 22 years ago, and have always had a bottle on the go ever since. I have many other perfumes but always find myself wearing this if I need cheering up.

I had this for a few years in the 90s. Loved it, but then it was discontinued. Where, or where can I get it? Didn't know they released it again... round Chrsitmas only?
rubyslippers · 15/11/2020 13:16

If you can you can’t beat Chanel no 5 for the winter abs No 19 for the summer
Other than that I love True Grace by Philosophy and Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker - always on offer in Superdrug
If you like heavier scents then Euphoria by Calvin Klein

merlotormalbec · 15/11/2020 13:21

The green Chanel chance is my absolute favourite

merlotormalbec · 15/11/2020 13:21

Also jo Malone pear and English freesia

Spied · 15/11/2020 13:26

Has to be Angel.
Also love Boss The Scent although it's nothing like Angel.

notanotherlasagne · 15/11/2020 13:32

Chanel Allure
Diptyque Vetyverio
