Present for my mum’s fresh start

Hi, it’s my mum’s birthday in a few weeks. Her marriage has recently broken up. Her husband is seeing someone else and although she knows they have been having problems for a few years, she is upset.
I want to get her a piece of jewellery to signify a fresh start or a new beginning but I’m struggling to find anything. I’m hoping someone can help me with a theme. eg a shape, stone or theme to represent starting over. Thanks!

I'm not sure really but my first thought was an egg -Reborn, new life and all those connotations.

Have you looked at Merci Maman? Could choose something nice and special message engraved?

What about a phoenix? A rebirth/rising from the ashes theme?

The acorn and the tree of life symbolise new beginnings. Maybe something on these lines might be possibilities? What a lovely thought to get her something at this time

I gave someone a silver Phoenix pendant a few years ago when they were recovering from illness - but mostly because I thought they'd like the piece, rather than as a deliberate reference to renewal.

You've left out any helpful indications of budget, gold or silver, fine or costume jewellery, your mother's style - whether she'd like something small and tasteful or the MN favourite 'statement necklace'. Pierced ears or not? Something to wear every day or only on special occasions? Etc.

Anyway - I saw this and thought it might be a nice beginning to a 'curated' collection. (Also comes in gold I think.)

The lotus, or waterlily is a symbol of new beginnings, or triumph over adversity. It is associated with rebirth in Ancient Egyptian mythology and Buddhist symbolism. It is also deeply feminine and stunningly beautiful.
There are lots of “traditional” stylized lotus necklaces on Etsy, and they’re gorgeous, but I also found these two. I thought they were a bit more beautiful, and unique. (Not expensive, either!)

I didn’t mention a budget because she has quite specific taste and likes very dramatic, eye catching pieces. I thought I might get a jewellery designer friend to make something unique once I have some ideas.
