Hello. Please help! I need some inspiration for a few things to buy.. I feel like I’m stuck in a bit of a loungewear rut right now. Everyone else at our baby group seems so well put together and I’m just a mess!

I’ve never been good at putting together a casual look so I default to hoodies and jeans when out of the house. Workwear I can do, smart dresses and blazers or pencil skirts and blouses.

Please could I have some inspiration for places to shop as well as some clothes I could buy? I’m mid-thirties and between a size 16-18, usually an hourglass but still got a bit of a wobbly post-pregnancy belly at the moment.

Any help is greatly appreciated 😊

Where did you clothes shop before pregnancy?

I used to (and still occasionally do) shop at H&M and New Look, but I've now come to appreciate places like Matalan and Sainsbury's TU. They do great casual wear. I love a good jumper with skinny jeans (jeggings to feel comfy with my mom pouch🤫) and some really nice boots.

I'd definitely suggest investing in some ni e boots or shoes, they really help an outfit. Get a nice jacket or coat and nice cardigans too if you want to ditch the hoodies.

Do you like to accessorise? A few nice accessories can make all the difference.

I used to pick up bits from Debenhams, so a mixture of their red herring stuff and others really. Bit of Next, Joules and Fat Face mixed in, but mostly hoodies from them! I do like TU and had forgotten about Matalan so thanks for the reminder!

My only issue with cardigans is that they tend to make me look huge due to boobs and bum.. not sure it’s a flattering look for me!
