I hate taking off mascara so I'm looking for something super effective. Any recommendations?

I'm using Simple atm and finding it really good.

FlyingByTheSeatof · 10/11/2020 12:28

I use Nivea double effects

StarlightLady · 10/11/2020 12:52

Try Klorane Cornflour Eye Make Up Remover.

Cookies2523 · 10/11/2020 12:54

I have always used Johnson's baby lotion.

TheNewLook · 10/11/2020 14:11

Best I’ve tried and gentlest by far is Clarins Instant Eye Makeup Remover.

mrssmiling · 10/11/2020 14:17

Another vote for Nivea Double Effect - very effective and non-irritating.
It’s usually on offer somewhere - supermarkets, Wilko, Superdrug or Boots.

helloxhristmas · 10/11/2020 14:21

Micellar water. I have exceptionally dry skin and hte oils in eye make up remover irritate it, it dissolves waterproof mascara in seconds. Using Nivea a the moment.

AriesTheRam · 10/11/2020 14:26

Baby lotion. It gets anything off and is moisturising.Ive used it for 25 years

WellTidy · 10/11/2020 14:29

Garnier micellar water with the pink lid. It takes off benefit they’re real mascara really easily which is a bugger to get off. Massive 700ml bottle usually for sale at about £6.

Everley · 10/11/2020 14:59

Another vote for Nivea Double Effect. It gets everything off super quick and doesn’t irritate my eyes.

throwaway10000 · 10/11/2020 17:07

Garnier micellar water
Kiehl’s midnight recovery cleansing oil
Lancôme bi-facil

throwaway10000 · 10/11/2020 17:08

Oh also Mac’s makeup remover!

Basically you just need something oil based

greenemerald · 10/11/2020 17:32

I just use coconut oil! It's really effective

lookdeepintotheparka · 10/11/2020 17:51

Lancome bi-facil. Pricey but excellent - removes everything and no stinging if you have sensitive eyes.

Sparklyring · 10/11/2020 19:29

Lancome Bi-facil definitely. I've repurchased for years.

Darklane · 10/11/2020 19:36

Boots Essentials Fragrance Free Eye Makeup Remover £1.50.
Best there is & even at that price often on 3 for 2

grey12 · 11/11/2020 06:36

Olive oil!

LutherRalph1 · 11/11/2020 06:48

Clinique take the day off

thekoalassocks · 11/11/2020 06:53

Nivea Double Effect. It's as good as the expensive ones.

MrGorksy · 11/11/2020 07:02

I used to use Clinique take the day off (and still do when I get a freebie) and it's great but expensive.
I buy nivea double effect and really like it. It's often on offer in Boots so I stock up.

sergeantmajor · 11/11/2020 15:59

Brilliant, thanks all

I’ve used these for over 20 years, usually on a 3 for 2 deal in Boots. I love them because sometimes (in the good old BC days 😂) I took them on nights out with me and remove my make up in the car on the way home!

Nivea double effects or wilko skin therapy.

LethargicLumpOfLockdownLard · 11/11/2020 19:01

Micellar water here too, preferably Garnier.

ElectricChicken · 11/11/2020 19:07

Almond oil or jojoba oil - the Fushi brand is brilliant but I’m sure any brand would work as well. So effective and gentle on the skin.
