Recommendation - curling wand /tong

Dd18 has asked for a curling wand or tong for Christmas but there's so many out there and the reviews seem contradictory (ie one reviewer loves the curler and another hates it)....can anyone recommend one? She has shoulder length fine hair, but lots of it. Budget is £25 to £40, so not the dyson!

I've been using the Mark Hill Pick n Mix range for the last year and it works well for me! I always have my hair curled and once I curl my hair, the curls last for a few days

You can buy a 'handle' at Boots and then you buy different attachments for it, depending on what sort of curl you want to achieve. Very good price and Boots often do a 3 for 2 deal!
