Mac makeup?

Ok, so since I was about 16 I’ve used makeup from the high street, so the names you see in Boots etc. I’ve never bought Mac before but always hear how good it is. I don’t know what shade to get so was hoping for some help. I’m pale with warm (yellow) undertones. My current foundation is rimmel Ivory and it suits me really well. Do you know what Mac foundation shade would suit me?

I would also like a red lipstick. I have a few but none seem to suit me. If I have warm skin tones should I go for a more orange red?

Yellow undertones in Mac are C or NC shades. I’m not familiar with Rimmel. Look on YouTube for people who use the same foundation as you to see what else works on them. You might be able to find potential shade matches that way.

The 2 popular Mac reds are ruby woo and Russian red (blue red). Lady danger is an orange red. I think Mac sell these in minis so you can try at a cheaper price

I used to use NC20 but realised it was too yellow for my warm ivory complexion. Now I use NC15.

You could google on Mac Foundation shades and they show pictures of models but it is not foolproof!

Wait til lockdown ends and go into a store for a mac makeover. They do your make up for you, then you get the cost of the makeover deducted from any products you buy.
