Uniqlo Sizing

Now I'm stuck working from home for the forseeable future and don't want a ridiculous heating bill I'm looking at buying some comfies from Uniqlo.
Does anyone know what the sizing is like? I'm usually a size 12 but this is all S/M/L and I can never figure out what I am.

I'm not particularly endowed but do have a bit of a tummy that I like to cover up.

I ordered some stuff from Uniqlo today. I am a size 10-12, and ordered a large because I have a tummy and not much of a bust either. Very hard to dress my body. I will report back on how it fits. Have you seen the sizing tool on the site? It has slotted me as a large because I am 48.

There’s like a size wizard on their site and it tells you which size is likely to fit you - I’m a 14 and wear large Uniqlo sets, but medium would probably be fine, if you’re a 12 I’m sure medium would be fine

Frequentflier · 06/11/2020 18:01

Damn. I will probably have to exchange mine then. The models on the site looked teeny tiny and mostly Asian ( I am Asian but the other kind of Asian:)

StillMedusa · 06/11/2020 18:08

I would say Medium. I'm a size 10 usually and the Small fit perfectly.. dd2 is an 8 and gets the XS. I love Uniqlo..washes and wears so well!

I am Asian but the other kind of Asian That made me giggle Grin

I think thats what is confusing me, I'm usually a medium but Asian sizing is usually much smaller than European sizing.

Agree M - I’m a size 12 and that’s usually fine for underwear, heat tech, leggings...

Therollockingrogue · 06/11/2020 18:16

The size wizard thing is actually really really good

WhatHaveIFound · 06/11/2020 18:21

I'm a size 12 with a bit of a tummy and 34F boobs. I wear a large in their bottoms (so that they're not too clingy) and a medium in their tops.

They're doing airism masks now which are lovely and soft. DS has already stolen some of mine. I'm medium in those, DH wear the large ones.

The Uniqlo sold in the U.K. is not the same in sizing terms as that sold in Asia.

The sizing here is adapted for western sizes.

I'm a size 10 and wear a S here but a L in Uniqlo Asia shops Confused

DrDavidBanner · 06/11/2020 18:27

Oh thanks everyone, this is very helpful.

I think I'll try medium and see how I get on.

I’m a 10 and I usually buy small which fits well, apart from skirts where I’m a medium for some reason (probably because I don’t really have a waist).

nevertrustaherdofcows · 06/11/2020 18:39

Just be aware that a lot of the innerwear isn't returnable, even if you want to exchange sizes.

DrDavidBanner · 06/11/2020 18:56

I'm just looking at sweaters and maybe some leggings for now Never but I like the look of the stuff so I may get more if I like them.

I’m a 10 with small boobs, the size questions put me at a M which is perfect in the merino crew necks. The M in the lambs wool crew neck was a bit big to begin with but has since shrunk a bit so I’m glad I kept the medium!

WhereAreWeNow · 06/11/2020 19:40

I would go for a medium if you're a 12. Their jumpers are quite generous.
I'm a 8-10 and I wear S in most stuff. Sometimes XS if it's something stretchy or roomy.
I buy way too much from Uniqlo.
