Tretinoin and the perfect moisturiser

Evening,

I'd love some recommendations for good hydrating pm moisturisers to wear with tretinoin. Something that makes your skin feel nice and plump in the morning and preferably unscented would be great.

Thank you

I'm having really good results with La Mer soft cream. It's silly expensive but feels nice and I'm not getting red or angry skin (& I'm too scared to stop!).

Mine isn't fragrance free but Ole Hendrickson's Nurture Me is just so good after the tight dry feeling I sometimes get after Tret.

Avene skin recovery cream in rich got me through roaccutane; used am and pm; non scented. I still use it now over my dermatica tret prescription.

A couple of times a week; I'll also add beauty pie capsules in between the tret and the avene at night, which are super moisturising.

I rotate between using Clinique moisture surge (the newest version) and la roche posay cicaplast baume B5. The LRP is too rich for me to use every night but great at keeping post Tret flakiness at bay.

I'm taking Roaccutane now and using Aveeno. My dosage is being upped at the end of the month so may need to find something else after that but at the moment the Aveeno is doing the job.

Thank you for the recommendations, I'll definitely look them up. I do have the LRP cicabaum which feels lovely but like pp said it's a bit rich for every evening

I use Vanicream which comes in a HUGE 1lb tub on amazon. Its amazing. The people on the tree subreddit rave about it and it has been perfect for me.

teta · 07/11/2020 10:15

Cerave cream in the big tub was my daughter's choice when on Roaccutane. Often recommended on many blogs for this .

I've been following a dermatologist on you tube who recommends cetreban.
It's cheap as chips and I was a bit skeptical but it really good. It's quite thick and you only need a small amount but it's very hydrating.
Only down side of it is that it has no luxury appeal iykwim

Cerave is amazing. I use the pm version. It’s cheap but has peptides and other good things in it.

I spend money on serums but not moisturisers. Especially the perfume/high brand ones. I think they are a waste of money.

For anti ageing you need Retin-A, spf and a basic moisturiser!

Such a boring product but perfectly bland and effective. LRP Cicaplast is too thick for me though good to have handy.

In the summer I usually switch to Cerave PM
