Anyone else not getting anywhere with Dermatica?

Started treatment in May. No improvement whatsoever. I've uploaded new photos and emailed multiple times over the last month and got no response at all. I have now cancelled the subscription saying that it hadn't worked and no one was responding and that hasn't prompted anything either. Has anyone else found this?

i had been using retirides for a few months and found it had cleared up my skin but decided to go with dermatica as i though it was easier to get tret through them. They prescribed tret with niacinamide which broke my skin out badly. When this happened they added in an antibiotic which just didn't make any difference. I cancelled and ordered retirides online and my skin has returned to normal very quickly. For me it was a question of just too much for my skin to take.

I have had issues getting response with Dermatica and I wonder if they are just very busy. I just decided not to go ahead for now and cancelled it.

Oh i hadn't even started and it was my first set of photos. I got one email asking for another pic (with better lighting) which I uploaded and that's it. It seems very popular so maybe they are just busy.

Nyancat, what are you using retirides for- is it acne. I have seen it online but wasn’t sure if it is any good so I went with Dermatica. Only used it for 6 weeks so a little early to tell, though!

I think skin+me suit some people better.

If your trying to treat acne and it isn’t working ring the dr.

I switched from Retirides to Dermatica and found the formula much more gentle and effective. Retirides left me with some scarring which it’s taking a little while to address. They do need to get their act together as the service is getting a lot of attention and they don’t seem to be able to keep up. I haven’t had any issues personally but experiences shouldn’t be so patchy

I've used Skin+Me which has been good so far. If it's not working well you can opt out and switch. Niacinamide breaks me out terribly so I avoid that, it could be something in the formulation your skin doesn't like. Otherwise if your acne is bad seeing the GP is the best option to get treatment.

I gave up with Dermatica. My acne got increasingly worse and I had big red sores all over my face instead of spots. Four weeks into skin+me and I’m starting to notice a difference.

KurriKawari · 07/11/2020 15:10

I gave up on Dermarita, whatever they gave me dried out my skin so badly it was peeling and red and hurt so bad, really itchy. Decided I'd rather put up with my spots than that.

Blah ive been using for acne, it has worked really well for me. I have extremely sensitive skin as well so stick to this alone at night and then an avene moisturiser and biore SPF for daytime.

silentpool · 09/11/2020 21:21

I've got on well with Dermatica and they do seem to reply. I found my skin did better when I wasn't using it daily. I also switched to a fragrance free rich moisturiser (Avene).
