Best tinted SPF 50

Can anyone recommend a good tinted sunscreen (to wear whilst using tretinoin)? I want something to give me a bit of colour over the winter but the ones I've tried in the past have all ended up making me look paler after application (and I'm quite pale naturally). Trying to find something with a non-shiny finish and a nice glow but it's like searching for the holy grail Sad

Are there any decent ones out there anyone can recommend?

I always use tinted spf so I don't need makeup.

I have 3 favourites,
Frezyderm Color Second Skin which is a matt finish
La Roche-Posay Anthelios XL tinted fluid

Heliocare color gel cream light, this is a bit shiny so I usually put a bit of powder over the top.

I just brought cerave tinted spf its great, the best one I have tried , isn't greasey at all like my No7 one is, had to get it on amazon as couldn't find a store in UK who stock it.

With Tret would you be better with a proper sunscreen then something on top? I'm not sure you get enough in a tinted moisturiser but I could be wrong.

I absolute love this CC cream it's really blurs any red areas and looks like you're wearing nothing. You only need a tiny bit.

I use Retinol and in the morning I use vit C > serum > moisturiser > sun cream > cc cream

Yes I'm after an SPF 50 with a tint. I have that ergotism cream and it is fab. Don't really want to have to wear too much in the way of make up and layers etc with the constant mask wearing which is why I'm really hoping I can find a proper SPF with a decent tint.

I use tret at night and this year discovered origins ginzing spf40 tinted moisturiser.
Its amazing. Only one colour - its one of those colour adapt creams that goes on colourless and gradually turns to a gentle glowy tint. Smells lovely, doesn't make me shiny or sticky or leave a cast, and blends well. Been using it since I started on tret in April and I can't fault it. I use that, some cream blusher and a dust of sheer powder and thats me done.
Think it only works on white skin though, due to the one shade thing.

I really like this as a sunscreen/tinted moisturiser. Gives good coverage

Another vote for Australian Gold. It’s a proper sunscreen.
Only issue is that it’s very waterproof so you have to watch out for your towels!

Lorrtay65 · 06/11/2020 23:36

I use Bioderma AR SPF 50, have done for years, about £16 in Boots - I stock up when it's on 3 for 2 offer. It's a very light tint and I would prefer a bit more coverage but all the others I've tried are a bit too orange or cakey

Reading thread with interest as always open to trying something new.

Tempted by the Origins one now!

GrimDamnFanjo · 07/11/2020 01:04

Skinceuticals?

Elllllle · 07/11/2020 04:26

Lrp bb cream is gorgeous. Its the tinted version of their Melt In sunscreen spf 50.

loveyouradvice · 07/11/2020 16:53

Interesting thread.... which would you go for as someone who won't be wearing anything else, has older skin (late 50s) and a classic british gentle roses and cream colouring?

Marbles321 · 11/11/2020 13:13

@loveyyouradvice my mum is in her late 60s with that colouring and uses the Origins Ginzing. I've got a more yellow/tan base skin colour, and it works brilliantly for both of us

Avene b+ protect 50

Another vote for the La Roche Posay Anthelios Tinted Fluid SPF 50+
