Acne due to mask

Has anyone got any tips to help clear up a spotty chin due to mask wearing?
I wear a cotton mask and they're washed with my normal washing.

Caroline Hirons did a segment on the This Morning program for this. One of the things she recommended was having a salicylic acid cleanser, like the Cerave SA wash.

Thank you, I'll have a look

If that doesn’t clear it ring the drs. They can prescribe a topical.

37weekswithno2 I had exactly the same problem. Washed my cotton masks with my washing too. Now switched to disposable masks and much better, think my skin was reacting to the wash or conditioner liquid.

I'd rather not use disposables. Maybe I should change my clothes wash.

I ended up with a topical antibiotic after struggling through weeks of horrible skin due to masks and trying all sorts of things. Started the topical and the difference in a week was amazing.

Have started to get it - don't need to wear a mask very much at all as I rarely go to the shops or out (pre lockdown) but it was never an issue before I started wearing washable masks too.

Yes if it's bad doesn't clear up with over the counter products then do call your GP for a prescription cream. If you can't get to the GP Boots also do an online Acne Clinic and can prescribe medicine but it costs a lot more than seeing your GP.

Disposable masks made mine worse, might have been whatever they use to treat them with. Cotton masks washed after every use helps.
