Best shampoo or treatment for thin hair

After a really stressful 2 yrs including q bereavement my cousin has lost a lot of hair it's become very thin and looks quite brittle.

I want to get her some nice shampoo - treatments, any suggestions ?

I don't know about treatments but I take Perfectil Hair vitamins, they're approx £19 for a months supply & they have really helped my hair growth, maybe buy her some?
You can buy them in Boots, Superdrug, Tesco etc.
