Minimalist wardrobe?

First of all, I'd like to say that this is absolutely not me! But I'd like to get closer to it ....

I have soooo many clothes yet it's always the same "I have nothing to wear" scenario.

I really want to have a few really nice pieces that I just love and when I look in my wardrobe it is neat, organised and easy to choose.

I'm terrible for holding on to things "just in case"

I've done 2 wardrobe clear outs the last couple of months and still have sooo much! Any tips or any of you in the same boat??
Also anyone heard of project 333? Sounds interesting but don't think I could ever get to that point!

I heard of 333.

I think the key is to be realistic about what your lifestyle and size. Then make outfits with what you have. Then make a shopping list of items than you need to complete the outfit or replace an item worn out. If something works for you get more than one of it in one go. Having a uniform really helps.
If you choose 3 or 4 colours palette and stick to it your clothes should mix and match.

If you are in 2 minds about something box them away and keep a note of where they are and like 333 if you havent needed them in 6 months or so then consider letting go.

Remove all the when i get thinner clothes, the out of season clothes and the maybe when im on a trip/finally invited to a trip/job interview/funeral clothes out of sight. They are visual clutter and a reminder of disappointing things.

@Banooshka thank you!

Those are some really good tips. Absolutely I need get rid of those "when I get thinner" clothes!

I'm definitely inspired to give it another go and have a real de-clutter and organise. Smile
