Please recommend a product to 'encourage' curls

I have long wavy hair. When I wash it I let it air dry - I get nice, soft waves. However they somewhat drop when I brush my hair. Is there a product I can use to encourage stronger, tighter curls? Maybe something I apply on damp hair?

You need to look up the curly girl method. Dd does it and now has corkscrew curls. The secret is products without silicone apparently.

I have already started co-washing. I didn't realise the CG method is about specific products. I thought it was more about an 'approach' to how to wash, dry, etc. I'll look into it in more detail. thank you.

Yes to the Curly Girl Method, there are groups on Facebook you can join fir advice. My wavy/curly hair like Cantu Curl Activator, only use a pea sized amount on wet hair. Another popular one is the pink Boots Curl Cream. You can add gel ontop for extra hold if needed.

Aveda Be Curly range is really good. The Curl Enhancer gives a great boost but leaves hair feeling soft & healthy.

Curly girl method and never brush your hair! De tangle when conditioning And then apply products/diffuse or air dry.

I lose my waves when I brush my hair. I just dampen it slightly and let it re-dry.
