I had small pricks of local anaesthetic then a cannula.
The results are subtle but I can see an improvement, DH can't see any.
Happy to answer any questions.

What improvements are you expecting to get from this.

agreewithgreenchilli · 05/11/2020 16:51

I had awful hollows under my eyes @Anordinarymum. I'm fed up with people asking me if I'm ill or tired.

How much did it cost if you don’t mind? What kind of practitioner? I’m sorely tempted as my dentist offers facial aesthetics.

Aparttogether · 05/11/2020 17:03

I had it done and couldn’t see the difference the day after and it was expensive.

StormyInTheNorth · 05/11/2020 17:05

It takes a few days to settle ime. Persevere a bit.

OwlOne · 05/11/2020 17:05

Oh wow. My under eyes are cavernous. Id love before amd after pic if it's possible to disguise yrslf

Bathroom12345 · 05/11/2020 17:06

I have had it done. As a PP said there was little difference and you absolutely need to get someone who is an expert and that will cost...

I wouldnt really have it done again although I am nearly 60 so I am suspecting its not really right for my age group now.

It was £600 from an experienced Aesthetics Dr. I was told that tear trough is very specialised and that I should pick carefully.

I think she said 1ml in cheeks and 1ml of a different filler that's specifically for eyes in the hollows.

I'm 54.

I had mine done a few weeks ago. I love the effect around my eyes. Definitely less of a hollow/tired look and it has somehow helped wrinkles in this area.

Cheek filler is settling now. She said she had underfilled me but I have high cheekbones and was worried I looked a bit ‘hamsterish’.. and slightly puffy.

Two weeks later they have settled. DH hasn’t noticed.

My doctor said filler is actually better than Botox from mid 40s onwards due to loss of volume in the face.

It’s nice not to look in the mirror and not look knackered.

Id love to have my eyes done. Dark circles, wrinkles and im 46.

EatPrayYoga · 05/11/2020 20:48

Would you be willing to share before and after photos?

Did it hurt?

Same here, but I'm a bit younger. My undereyes are REALLY dark though, I'm not sure even filler would solve it.

It's a week now since it was done and the results are subtle but there's certainly an improvement.
They purple shadows and hallows are still there but not nearly as noticeable, I'm using 50% less corrector and concealer. An added bonus is that the lines from my nose to the sides of my mouth are softer too.
I did get quite a bit of bruising two days later but I do bruise easily.

It's not better, it's just different. Botox and fillers have totally different effects. It's like comparing apples with pears.
