Hair dye patch test help

I’m not normally this useless but I can’t work out the best way to do a patch test (haven’t coloured my hair for years)

It’s a L’Oreal bleaching kit, with developer cream, lightening powder and lightening cream. Do I mix them as per instructions for use, and patch test with a bit of that mix? But then is it ok to leave the rest mixed (and open) for 48 hrs before using properly?

Or do I patch test with (each of?) the individual bits?

What does it tell you to do on the instructions? You normally mix up a small amount and patch test with that.

It doesn’t say, annoyingly. The only reference to patch testing is a tiny note on the top flap of the box, with a reference to the ‘Be Colour Safe’ website (which also doesn’t give very clear instructions) What you suggest sounds sensible though!
