Really quick question before I order foundation (pics)

Two foundations “matched” recently. One is a bit yellowish I think so, I counteracted that with bronzer. Which is the better match. (Try to look beyond headgear... it’s cold where I am!!! 😊)

Second.

I think.

CharlottesComplicatedWeb · 05/11/2020 09:07

I suppose it hard to say as the sun is so bright on that 2nd. Thanks 😊

I think second too but the first also works.

IdblowJonSnow · 05/11/2020 09:47

I think the second too but hard to tell as both photos are so different.

You look healthier in the 2nd pic but that's probably down to all the bronzer. 1st looks a lot paler.

It’s hard to say as can’t see your neck. I’m a mua and always look at neck and chest colour whilst colour Matching.
Try to see which one blends better with your neck colour. You can warm up the pale one with more bronzer but if the second one is too different from your neck it will give you an orange face /whiter neck situation if you see what I mean which is harder to rectify.

Ahhh, thanks. Will have a look at the neck test.

You need it match your neck. Check in natural light.

Ok. So, my best match (from my existing makeup bag is a No7 Tinted Moisturiser in Fair. I’ve come to the end of the tube and have chopped the top off and decanted the remaining amount into a small pot but... it won’t last long. However, I’d like a foundation but a very similar shade. Tinted moisturiser is fab for spring summer but I need a bit more now. However, when I go on to findation.com it comes up with “matches” which are not really shade matches 🤷🏻‍♀️ and now, it’s impossible to test or get samples.

Boots have a money back pledge but I can’t just open/try 2 or 3 different products... what a terrible waste.

Any further help? Thanks.

I can highly recommend the Lookfantastic Mac matching service - I've never found a foundation I like, but the one this method picked is phenomenal - it's absolutely an identical match for my skin. Plus as its Mac, it's a decent quality foundation as well.

Thanks for that @SoddingWeddings. It says you need to be a beauty box subscriber to get the colour card code? I’m not, unfortunately.

😕
