I've managed to get my gels today on fingers and toes. As soon as I heard the announcement I was straight on the phone to my nail lady Confused whilst some are stockpiling toilet rolls and pasta I'm just worried about having nice hands and feet Confused💅🏼

So what have you managed to squeeze in this week as a top priority Grin

Hair cut, filler, cosmetic eye surgery. Mid life crisis.

DailyCandy · 05/11/2020 13:54

not all this week

CirceOfAeaea · 05/11/2020 15:38

A daith piercing yesterday morning. Priorities.

Sorry, I realise I was a bit off beam with my initial posting (library books) not realising it was Style & Beauty. Anyway, to earn back my S&B stripes, I shoehorned myself in for a (brutal) haircut and I’ve invested in industrial quantities of Neom candles and Neom essential oils for my diffuser (along with our Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser, this was my best lockdown mark i purchase). I also popped into TK Maxx and bought some lovely products (Jurlique & Aromatherapy Associates for silly-low prices ie £3 instead of £45).

Incidentally, for anyone else who is a fan of Neom candles, QVC has a good offer at the moment; a bundle of 3 single wick candles in different scents for £41 (the usual RRP is £32).

Hair cut...needed doing. Was last done in March before it all shut and booked this one before all shut. Good timing lol.

Got eyebrows booked for December so see what happens with that..not hopeful but least gives them time to grow

clary · 05/11/2020 22:38

@CirceOfAeaea ooooh do tell! Does it hurt? How does it look? Do you have lots of piercings or is this a first?

I love the look of a daith piercing so so much but I only have regular earlobes done... Also that bit of my ear is not v big. Also what's the aftercare like and can you sleep on it? Picture? Sorry!

CirceOfAeaea · 05/11/2020 23:25

@clary so it was my 10th piercing in my ear and it was totally painless (I have lobes, upper and lower helix and all of them were worse). But lots of people say it’s one of the most painful ones so it just depends I think.

Aftercare is bathing twice a day with salt water and don’t touch it, as it’s right inside your ear it should be quite protected from bumps and mask strings. A travel pillow is great if you sleep on your side just put your ear in the hole and you shouldn’t knock the piercings or put pressure on them.

I really like it and so glad I had it done!

Titsywoo · 05/11/2020 23:27

Haircut and highlights (that was just before lockdown was announced) then last night got a full leg and bikini wax in at the last minute - phew!

clary · 05/11/2020 23:30

Ah Circe sounds good. I would worry about not being able to remove the ring is all. I'll never dare to have it done but can dream. Sounds like you very much know what you are doing :)

EL8888 · 05/11/2020 23:32

Hair (cut and dye) and getting my root canal finished

MitziK · 05/11/2020 23:34

Full face wax and eyebrows. I've looked like a yeti since March - except for the month following my second attempt at trimming with DP's shaver attachment, when I looked like Roger Moore disguised as a Yeti.

MidnightHangingTree · 05/11/2020 23:40

Picking my new car up. It's lovely Grin

ItsASunnyDay · 05/11/2020 23:43

@MitziK can I be so bold as to recommend dermaplaning? (Fellow yeti) Grin

Monty27 · 06/11/2020 05:40

Paint to decorate the front room 😳

Crakeandoryx · 06/11/2020 06:15

Hair dye and cut, meal out with a good friend. Also got Christmas cards to write while we're indoors.

Oblomov20 · 06/11/2020 06:23

Haircut, eyelashes and eyebrows dyed, sports massage, electrolysis.

MitziK · 06/11/2020 17:57

Thank you - I'm going to try that in the meantime, as I'm not daft enough to fall for DP's kind offer to learn to wax for me.

DumDaDumDum · 06/11/2020 18:12

Wedding dress and lashes.

So happy!
