How often do you use heat on your hair?

I have long hair which I air dry 95% of the time, even in winter (I work from home). Not because it's better for it, but because I'm lazy.

However I do use my GHDs on it once a month or so. I know this is not often compared to many people (especially because many people blow dry their hair) but I am curious as to how often people use heat on average. And, if you do, do you apply a protector first?

I use my straighteners a lot less now I am wfh but I dry my hair with a hairdryer every time I wash it (usually every other day).

My hair oil has heat protection in it but that is all I usually use.

My hair is very thick though and takes ages to air dry which is why I use a hairdryer

I only use my straightners on special occasions and never use a dryer, my hair is in lovely condition and grows really fast

Well this morning I sprayed some heat protector on my air dried hair so if later I fancy straightening it, it's ready. Although I'm pretty sure I won't bother. Besides the time and effort, the damage and the fact that I'm not going anywhere are hardly motivating me...
