If I like Nike Air Force

I've never really been much of a trainer person until last year I got a pair of white Nike Air Force for Christmas and I've loved wearing them ever since. I also have a pair of vans but I very rarely wear them. I ordered a pair of pale pink Nike Air Force from very but I think they are going to go back. I'd quite like a classy looking pair. I really love the look of Alexander McQueens but the price is way above what I'd be willing to pay! Any suggestions on other trainers? To wear with jeans/leggings etc so not a gym/sports pair. Also I think I may be a bit too old for pink trainers (26), I actually thought they'd be more beige but let me know what you think before I decide to definitely send these back?

They look good! And your never too old to wear any colour trainers , I have a pair of these and love them and I’m 24 Smile

They're too chunky for me tbh. Especially if you're looking for elegant. I much prefer something with a bit more of a 1970s shape, as they are much sleeker looking. Gola bullet / Adidas Samba or Nike Internationalist might work. Particularly the latter because they have the same shape at the top of the foot, but without the chunky sole

I like the puma cali trainers - really comfy and i think similar sort of look to air force

I have fallen hard for Adidas Superstars, they are like wearing slippers and for me go with pretty much everything.

I have and love Puma Cali - it’s like walking on air and I think they’re the perfect amount of chunk.

Bagelsandbrie · 05/11/2020 06:57

Too old at 26?!! Are you mad? I’m 40 and wouldn’t think twice about wearing any kind of trainers!

The Puma Cali ones are quite similar - the wedge ones are really nice. Lots on asos at the moment.

Bagelsandbrie · 05/11/2020 06:58

Sorry just re read and seen others have said puma Cali as well!

ZaraW · 05/11/2020 07:49

I'm agreeing with everyone else why on earth do you think you are too old at 26?!

I have Air Force trainers not in pink as it's not a colour I like and I'm 49.

iliketobecosy · 05/11/2020 10:04

Thanks everyone, I usually do like pink but something just didn't seem right with them. I will have a look into the suggestions 😊

I have pale pink Puma States & I'm 44.. the only issue with pale pink suede is that it can be hard to keep clean but so can white leather!
I like the look of those pink AF 1s.
I have white AFs with a dark red swoosh.

MrsHuntGeneNotJeremyObviously · 05/11/2020 11:57

I was going to buy a pair of pink AF1 and I'm 46! Only reason I didn't is because DD would have nicked them. Ended up with Adidas gazelles, which are less chunky but maybe not elegant.
Don't let age deter you from anything that you really love in life. You will never again be as young as you are now, so enjoy it.

I am 36 and have pink trainers 😂(adidas continentals). I think the Air Force are lovely on you op.
