Black trainers - horrible or not?

I'm always in my white supergas when out for long walks, with my jeans and a parka. However I'm looking for a good alternative with my skirts/darker toned outfits and thought black trainers? Can these be fashionable? It's for long walks so needs to be comfortable hence I'm avoiding boots etc.

Black trainers can be lovely it depends on the style and what you like. Black Stan smiths are good as are veja but every brand will have some

I wear black trainers every winter. White just doesn't look right with my winter clothes. You do have to pick the right shape though and it's different to the shape you want for a white trainer imo. I usually prefer a sleeker shape in black than chunky

@LooseMooseHoose which do you recommend? I was looking at some at Kurt Geiger which were sparkle knit but think I need something more hard wearing

The most comfortable and hard wearing ones will be nike air force 1 in black leather.

I've just bought some Nike Internationalists, which I like. I'm also tempted by some Gola Bullet liberty print trainers for something a bit different

I like the 1970s retro style trainer though and I think it works well in darker colours

I think black trainers look great. Lots of stylish women near me wear them (including me!!!). They look better on a wet day. I agree sleeker look best - Puma have nice ones as do New Balance.

I love my Puma black trainers.
I wear them much more than my white Stan Smiths.

Yes but classics
