Recommendation me a hair dye!

With lockdown looming I'm going to experiment with my hair colour. Currently light mousey brown (the most 'meh' colour ever). I'd like to try a lovely auburn red - I'm thinking Isla Fisher-esque, nothing too dark or plum. What hair dye brand would you recommend & what shade? I think semi permanent for my first go.

Thanks in advance!

I recommend E-Salon. It's the only colour other than salon that I get full coverage. They advice to stick to your original colour, but I've changed between brown, red and blonde. Cannot recommend an actual colour as you design your own.

There's usually offers on FB for a deal, unless you know someone who uses then to get a code.

Not sure on the colour. Depends on if you have warm or cool colouring?

I love the Garnier Nutrisse shades. I went for dark golden brown. I have tried medium ones but as they fade they go a bit 'yellow' I went down the red colour way (not mahogany - that was too cool for me) but as am grey underneath it tends to show up too soon.

If you don't have that problem then look at the many auburn colours

More obvious reds like I used to use

Try L’Oréal casting creme gloss in rich honey

L'Oréal Excellence, can't beat it, lasts ages, great pigmentation, smells good and leaves my hair really shiny

Avoid Olio as that stripped my hair of all it's oils and it was lank and dull.
Also Live Colour, might be OK if you're about 15 but it's vile, stained everything except my hair.

Thanks for you recommendations. I've got neutral to cool colouring. I think I'll have a look at the l'oreal colours.
