Anyone tried going Silver (hair colour)

It’s all the rage right enough, but would it just look old on someone who is, well, older? I’m late 40s and generally go red, purple, all different colours actually, but feeling I might bite the bullet with silver. I am naturally dark brown (but not seen the actual shade in years). Thoughts? Anyone done it?

Well I am but I went that way in my twenties without any help from me!
Most people think I have it dyed platinum & are forever asking where I get it done [ confused] .. it’s a family thing my DG was the same.

I have natural white/silver streaks and my hairdresser has said it's really difficult to recreate the colour in the salon. You would need it bleaching to platinum and then I think toner/colour on the bleached hair.

Bleach then toner and I keep mine in check with purple shampoo.

It really, really suits my cool toned colouring, and I find regrowth softer than the pastel pink I was before, so I love it. I'm 36.
