Does anyone have one of these? Am thinking about getting one for my 11 yo DD, they're down to £50 today on Amazon. Reviews are mainly good as far as I can tell, but a few terrifying ones about hair getting stuck and needing to be cut out!

I have one and really like it - I’ve only ever known my hair get caught when I’ve used too thick a section, and you get a feel quite quickly for how much hair you can have in a section. After a while you can tell if the hair will tangle by how the machine grabs it from the off!
It does create very defined curls, which I love, but it’s not so great for soft beach waves for my shoulder length hair.

It only tangles if you take too much and the times it's done it to me it's easy to release. Agree with above that it does great defined curls.

Thanks both, sounds like you just need to be a bit careful until you get the knack of it. I've ordered one, £50 seemed like a good price
