Lockdown hair

A bit miffed that I may end up with unpleasant “lockdown hair” again!

I’m naturally brunette but have been blonde for a few years now. My last appointment was in late September. I have a hair appointment in mid December to refresh my highlights but there’s no guarantee it will go ahead; lockdown may be extended or hair salons may not be allowed to open immediately again etc.

I’m just trying to think what to do going forward, as in a lower maintenance colour? Perhaps getting a darker root painted on? But then again, I hated what my hair looked like last lockdown with 6 inch roots🤦🏼‍♀️ Any ideas would be appreciated

Hilight it yourself! Or dye it the same colour to match your roots and grow your natural roots out. I am in the same position and am not letting my awful natural colour with grey come through. Highlight it yourself. Tons of YouTube vids. If it messes up, dye it as close to your natural as possible and your hairdresser will fix it when you see her next. What have you got to lose?

Don't be your natural hair or colour if you don't want to be just because of lockdown. You need to adapt. Go for it! Good luck!
