What’s Zara sizing like these days?

Haven’t bought from them for ages.

They used to be small-fitting I found.

I’ve seen a nice smock style dress but not sure which size to go for. Their online size helper suggests a 45/55 split that I should choose Lsrge over Med. I’m not sure as it’s a loose style.

I’m a 10/12 in most brands. 10 in Hush; 12 in eg Warehouse.

Is Zara still teensy?

Thanks!!

Unpredictable. Similar size to you. Have given up until I can go to a shop.

Put it this way: the other day the queue for the dedicated returns till at Zara was out of the shop and down the street

Teeny tiny as ever.
I'm a 12 top and wear Zara XL Hmm
My winter coat is Zara and a "you're so far you need a winch" size. I usually buy a 14 in a coat for jumpers etc. The Zara is XXL.

*fat

@TheSeedsOfADream - I’ve eaten myself to a 14 on the last 6 months and bought a XL coat from Zara last month thinking that surely would be what I’d be. Had to size down twice. Just shows you how erratic their sizing is!

If you can afford it and don’t mind the hassle of a return, maybe order both the M & L OP to compare the fit? I’d reckon you’d be a M but as above, their sizing is odd at times!

I'm a 10 in most places, also a 12 in Warehouse and the last few items I bought in Zara are a M, dresses and a few tops. It's their trousers I find to be inconsistent.

Blimey! Maybe they're doing an H&M on us. Over the last two years I've gone from a 16 in their t shirts (because of their non vanity sizing) to a 12 again!

Blondiney · 03/11/2020 08:01

Just returned two pairs of straight leg jeans in size 12, they were too big. I'm a pretty standard 10 everywhere so I sized up. I shouldn't have done.

ZaraW · 03/11/2020 08:12

I think sizes have got larger. I managed to fit in size small trousers as a size 10. A few years ago I would be a medium.

SJaneS48 · 03/11/2020 08:29

@TheSeedsOfADream , to be fair the style of the coat is over sized but still the XL and L were absolutely huge. Oversized works on slim figures but if you’ve put on weight it just makes you look like a dumped truck! m.zara.com/uk/en/textured-coat-p08127644.html?v1=59586996&v2=1549242

SJaneS48 · 03/11/2020 08:30

Dumper not dumped - grr!

YoureBreakingMyHeartCecilia · 03/11/2020 09:17

Thanks everyone!

I’m going to go for the L as my main issue is big shoulders and I don’t want the M to pull over them. It’s an oversized style so I think it will look better a bit on the big side rather than on the small iyswim.

Thanks so much!!
