Is there such a thing as sexy PJs?

I'm newly dating and need to up my nightwear wardrobe (don't worry I'm talking post-lockdown) the problem is I get really cold at night - I have to be covered head to toe, I find it hard to sleep otherwise and always wake up shivering.
My house is warm - too hot and I can't sleep, I need my face to be cool.
I also have an electric blanket.

Anyone seen/got an PJs which are warm and not a complete passion killer?

Ones that look like thermal underwear i.e. thermal vest and long johns. Not the most sexy, but the fact that they are skin tight also means they're not the least sexy.
I can just imagine people reading this now and thinking did Gwen really say long johns?
Maybe this is why I'm single...

I remember a thread in relationships where a man had complained about his woman's PJs and everyone was recommending things that would be too cold like cami tops...

I’ve got a couple of pairs of Desmond and Dempsey PJs and a matching robe. They’re not ‘sexy’ in that they’re not lace/silk etc but they’re perfectly nice to be seen in! desmondanddempsey.com/collections/long-pyjama-set

There’s a link to the longer PJs but they have other styles too.

Mylittlesandwich · 02/11/2020 19:16

I think anything that fits you well, is warm enough, matches and isn't threadbare is probably good? I may be setting the bar too low...

Rosie at Marks and Spencer have a few styles that may work

£150 for a pair of pj's-they are nice but I'll stick to Tescos

mum2jakie · 02/11/2020 19:22

I've recommended them before but British Boxers are great for night wear and undies:

The Danish brand Joha in silk/merino wool mix. Thermals/base layers really, but very comfortable to sleep in. http://joha.dk/da/kollektion/2017/voksen/voksen-uld/w-uld-2

You can sometimes find some of their stuff on stylepit, but it's not cheap.

Ted Baker at Debenhams have a few nice sets. I’ve got this

Not sure if it’s sexy, it looks and feels reallt nice though!

WhyDoIFeelGuilty · 02/11/2020 19:26

I've not bought one yet myself but I've seen these in the past

How in the world is that warm?
WhereAreWeNow · 02/11/2020 20:35

How about a pretty thermal top like this and a nice pair of PJ bottoms?

Didyousaynutella · 02/11/2020 20:55

I think traditional plaid pjs are kind of cute and sexy in a different way. I also wear tight vest tops and Pj bottoms. Take the Pj bottoms of and voila it’s kind of sexy.

ZaZathecat · 02/11/2020 21:28

Love those Ted Baker ones. They're the only ones here I'd deem remotely sexy.

Oly4 · 02/11/2020 22:02

Some nice designs.

AlexisIsMySpiritAnimal · 02/11/2020 23:13

You don't have to be sexy 24/7 if you don't want to!

Prospect of some hot lovin : sexy satin something.

Regular Tuesday when he's not staying over: warm, comfy and as ugly as you like.

exaltedwombat · 03/11/2020 17:33

Your new partner doesn't care a damn what you wear to bed as long as you take it off when requested. But (s)he may well not be able to 'sleep hot', particularly if it's a he.

Goodlockdownhair · 03/11/2020 17:55

Ok sexy might be pushing it, Im going to go stylish

I love the white company ones, but I know I will somehow stain them and trash them in one week!

Fluffycloudland77 · 03/11/2020 18:12

I don’t think in the early stages of a relationship anyone’s going to notice what your wearing as long as it’s easy to get off.

EMUKE · 03/11/2020 18:16

Yes!!! This is me too. My poor husband! He works outside and we are “polar opposites” excuse the pun. I can’t win I want to look nice but end up in socks and trousers most nights! Help...

lollylimejuice · 03/11/2020 18:29

Wearing a pair of socks and a full length winceyette nightie will keep you snug and give your beau something to unwrap if he has a mind to.
