What blooming shape am I?

This pic is from my thinner days but shows me full length. I'm short at 5'2" and now 2 stone heavier mainly in my mid section but of course the bones underneath are the same. I feel like I'm long from my shoulders to bum then short legs thigh to ankle but also like my very top bit from shoulders to waist is also short. So I'm big from waist to belie bum but does this mean I'm short waisted? Long body? I'm struggling to find flattering clothes as my belly is so big but I've still got a waist (ish) and my legs aren't too fat
Please help dress me ! Just had a crap stitch fix and I don't think I've helped myself by maybe describing proportions wrong Hmm

I don't think anyone will be able to advise based on the pic. I'd have a read of this and work it out as she suggests. :)

I think Stitch Fix can be generally crap, so don’t stress too much about it! IMO they should ask to see photos of you.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 02/11/2020 14:21

FWIW I think you look quite hourglass from that pic. Small waist, but big boobs. If you measure your bust, waist and hips is your waist a lot smaller than your hips? And are the bust and hip measurements reasonably close?

I have no clue about long/short bodies and waists, though.

Thighdentitycrisis · 02/11/2020 17:33

agree with PP, you look like a curvy figure, if your hips and bust are similarly proportioned, difficult to tell from the pic as you are leaning back a bit.

lemonsandlimes123 · 02/11/2020 18:15

I think you look fairly straight up and down with boobs, if you are two stone heavier and you are carrying it around your middle then you will probably be a bit of an apple but with boobs.

This was an interesting thing to do. Stupidly I'd always assumed I was half and half but my legs are 2 inches longer than my torso. I also confirmed what I assumed and shop for, a high distinctive waist and long section below that = rules out jumpsuits.
Apileofballyhoo · 02/11/2020 19:12

You look heavier on your bottom half in that pic to me. So I'd say pear or guitar. Quite possible to have a stomach too, in my case anyway!

beautifulnorth · 02/11/2020 19:46

I read the link thank you and then used the findings to check what body shape I'd be. I'm apparently a neat hourglass. So no Jessica rabbit waist for me but a waist nonetheless apparently. Now to find clothes without needing to wear cinched in stuff all the time....I don't like fitted stuff much but that's not ideal - I need to change into a fitted kinda gal

That's weird. My post is after all the recent replies - sorry I wasn't ignoring you and actually I don't "feel" like a traditional hourglass at all. I used to say I was like one person on top and another larger wider rectangle on the bottom and I still think that's true ! I'll look up guitar!

No worries. I'm slightly taller than you and my DM says I have a long waist and she has a short one but I don't really know what she means. Most of my height is from the waist down. I'm by no means any kind of expert but I just try to make myself look less fat more balanced. Looser tops and slimmer bottoms but nothing voluminous on top either or I look shapeless.
