Stitch fix disappointing

Was so looking forward to it having asked for a cosy hoodie and comfy trousers and maybe a nice blouse. I got:
Nice style but very nylon blouse- big on shoulders so going back
Peg front trousers in a "too long to be cropped and too long to look ok" - looked like black work trousers, the like of which I have avoided for a while
Black jumper with a twist knot at the back and a kind of high/ open effect - it finishes above the waist- nobody wants to see my arse highlighted like that
Green jumper- lovely but makes me look big. Phase Eight
Lastly- a striped summer sleeveless long jersey dress. WTF?
I'm gutted as I was so looking forward to some nice winter coziness with style. So I guess I'm asking where can I get a cosy hoodie and some stylish winter wear. For a short dumpy size 14 with massive belly ? Ideas? I can wear joggers to WFH but feel so awful in them and just want to eat cheese!

Yes, I’ve given up on them and also lookerio. I honestly don’t think they read what’s in front of them in terms of feedback given.

My last SF box, I asked for some autumnal tops, a skirt to wear with opaques and boots and a good pair of winter trousers.

I got a dress which had a nice print but it had a long slip thing inside it which causes static. I know I had told them not to send me this type before. It also came with a fine, made from the same material fabric belt. There was no structure to it. Again all as previously advised.

I also got a black t shirt. It’s autumn.

An horrific brown, horrible v neck cardigan. I cannot begin to tell you how bad it was. It was £90!

A pair of 3/4 black trousers which were £120. Lightweight fabric which you can buy in Next or Marks 10 months of the year for £30 or £40. I asked for something winter weight.

A couple of other miserable tops. It all went back in the box and was retuned. I didn’t try any of it on.

I get about 1/2 that I love every box!

Actually I asked for a skirt too or tunic dress. They've sent nothing suitable other than the phase eight jumper which is nice but not what I asked for. I don't think they read the feedback

You should get 5 or 6 items every box.
beautifulnorth · 02/11/2020 17:37

I'm just so disappointed today. I had a box last time with lumpy cotton skirt and t shirt that would only suit a thin person and a t shirt I loved but was £50. Today I was hoping for a nice soft jumper and some good jeans but nope. And really how hard can that be??!

@Fridgeandkitchen that's literally never going to happen! And I wouldn't buy 5/6 items every time either but then I do get it fortnightly.

Oh yes joining this thread! I have given Stitch Fix a good old go but it's just getting worse. Like PP's say they don't respond to feed back and the brands are getting less interesting whilst the prices are shooting up. I've had some truly horrific pieces in my last two deliveries and have now called it a day

AmICrazyorWhat2 · 02/11/2020 21:31

I agree that it's getting worse and I wonder whether they're having supply chain issues due to the pandemic? I'm in the US and joined three years ago on a friend's recommendation. I receive a box every two months and the first 18 months were great, it transformed my wardrobe and they listened to me when I needed an outfit for a special occasion, etc.

This year's been patchy. I've sent back two boxes untouched and cancelled one Fix, because they also sent me seasonally inappropriate clothes and I was cross. I'm thinking of cancelling my next one as I don't really need new clothes to WFH.

Right now, I find it easier to shop their "Shop Your Looks" section featuring items that compliment your previous purchases. I'm reluctant to totally give up on the service as I detest clothes shopping and it may improve again. It's a shame it's gone downhill, it's a great idea.

beautifulnorth · 02/11/2020 21:45

Yes it is such a good idea but only if they listen. I told them last time that a long time waist won't work unless a petite fit and anyway- it's a bloody beach dress. In November! Bizarre
