Smoothing primer - Instant Smooth, Miracle Blur, Smashbox... or something else?

I'm looking for a new smoothing primer that will also hopefully help to disguise wrinkles... I've used a Smashbox one in the past which was good, but wondering if there is something better out there...

Any suggestions?

I love Benefit porefessional. I find it really smoothing and I am releuctant to spend money on anything else.

Thanks WellTidy but is that not more for large pores than wrinkles? Or does it smooth out wrinkles as well?

I really like the Maybelline baby skin one

Arrivederla · 30/10/2020 12:00

Thanks Juan - I have the Maybelline one but I don't think it's heavy duty enough for my skin. Sad
I need something that can really smooth out those wrinkles!

No 7 do a good one but I really like prime of your life from Wilko actually

WellTidy · 30/10/2020 12:58

Arrived it smoothes everything out. I don’t have large pores but I still really really rate it.

I've just bought the Clarins Instant Smooth - I'll report back if it's any good. I'll also keep an eye out for the Wilko one - sounds like it could be a bargain!

Elemis Pro Collagen Insta Primer

Elllllle · 06/11/2020 11:35

This Works camera ready ia the best primer for smooth skin

Lily193 · 06/11/2020 17:24

I love Smashbox but Dermalogica Skin Perfect Primer is also amazing on my skin even though I usually hate Dermalogica products.

RockStarMartini · 06/11/2020 17:36

Ooh I'm thinking of getting that, love Clarins stuff - interested to hear what its like and hope you like it.

Anotheruser02 · 06/11/2020 17:46

w7 on Amazon do a great primer, don't let the price fool you it's great and I used to use smashbox, I prefer this it's called camera ready.

TheSeedsOfADream · 07/11/2020 07:35

I don't know if Instant Smooth is the same formulation as it was when it first came out, but it was the best primer I'd ever used.

Coffeepot72 · 07/11/2020 07:58

Boots No 7 airbrush primer - love it!

JorisBonson · 16/11/2020 09:13

The Ordinary High‑Adherence Silicone Primer - some days I can just use this and powder, it's amazing

GeidiPrimes · 16/11/2020 09:17

Tarte smoothing timeless primer has to be the best one I've ever used, it has a moussey texture. I didn't rate Pore-fessional at all.

MabelMoo23 · 16/11/2020 11:01

I use Bobbi Brown face base. It’s fab

quelquechose · 16/11/2020 11:39

Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer - not cheap, but I use this with a drugstore foundation as I rate it so much. I received a sample and like it so much I bought full size. I never went back to finish my Smashbox one...

bebarkered · 16/11/2020 12:00

I really wish there was a like button for this thread!

superstar63 · 16/11/2020 16:37

I need something to fill in my pores and also not keen on Benefit Porefessional or the W7 one, any suggestions for large pores please?

JorisBonson · 17/11/2020 07:21

@superstar63 the Ordinary one does that. I'm a fellow big pore person and it's great at blurring them

professionalnomad · 17/11/2020 13:04

Another vote for Boots No 7 airbrush primer

superstar63 · 20/11/2020 21:07

@JorisBonson. Thank you and I have just ordered the Ordinary one so fingers crossed!

JorisBonson · 20/11/2020 21:49

@superstar63 I don't think you'll regret it, I have a stupid oily massive pore face and it's the only thing that works for me!

JMAngel1 · 20/11/2020 22:08

W7 camera ready is amazing - better than smashbox, benefit and clarins - and it's £4!
