Elemis now selling in China

Really sad about this, even though they say they are against animal testing. Another company that has put profit above all else.

Can anyone recommend a skincare brand similar as I'll now have to find an alternative.

How depressing that Elemis have caved but thank you for letting me know as I will boycott them too . I really like Dermalogica and I would say it is similar quality wise and cruelty free .

Dermalogica has been owned by Unilever for years

Elave are 90% vegan, not as high end as Elemis but good quality.

La Mer are v similar to Elemis (according to rep). I don't know what their ethical rating is though and I know they are pricey.

Have you tried Beauty Pie, OP? The products are fantastic - I use tgeir cleanser, peeling drops, retinol night cream, spf & day cream and I love them all. Very reasonably priced too.

I've only just found out about Elemis selling in China even though they say they are cruelty free. So far I've found Body Shop, M&S Beauty and Liz Earle are cruelty free.

China just changed the rules on cosmetics needing to be tested on animals anyway. Hoping this will mean more brands entering the market here.

When and what have they said please.

I know it’s not very posh but I’ve been using Superdrug’s own brand optimum collagen range, eye cream, serum and day and night cream. My skin feels amazing after just a few weeks.

Oh, I was just about to order a load more. I'll will search out the articles and decide if I need an alternative.

I have googled beauty products for sale in China but can only find beauty products made in France being sold there from 01:05:21 without needing to be tested on animals. Elemis is now owned by L'occitane but is made in the UK where it has always been made. Lets see how long it takes for Elemis products start to be made in France!

Temple Spa are cruelty free. I don't know how they compare to Elemis.

PP correct - China has said they will stop testing on cosmetics this year (think it’s within the next couple of months but can’t remember). So hopefully this won’t be an issue in future
