I cut my own hair yesterday!

Admittedly my hair is dead straight and not very thick but I watched a couple of youtube videos and gave myself a trim.

I'm really happy with it. I only took an inch or two off the bottom but it's perfectly fine. This could save me a fortune.

I did mine, only a tiny amount. It wasn’t great so I went back for a bit more.
I don’t think it’s dreadful, luckily I have layers anyway which disguise a lot. I’m very glad to get rid of the dry ends & am working myself up to chopping an inch off but, I’m slightly afraid I will end up with a mullet!

It’s great, isn’t it? I’ve been doing my own bob since the start of lockdown and have no plans to go back to the hairdressers - I like the cut better when I do it myself and it saves me £70!

This is very encouraging OP - I’m thinking of doing the same! Can you link to the videos you followed?

I usually cut mine from a ponytail but DD has to straighten it out a bit. In fact she's just old enough now that the last time she just cut my hair all by herself. She cut off more than I wanted because that's how she decided I should have it Hmm It's very long, straight and forgiving.

I only started cutting it myself because I never had the time to go to the hairdressers.
