Post lockdown hair or other beauty disaster stories required!
My friend went to the hairdresser the other day and got an awful hair cut - her usual stylist - just cut layers too short etc - the stylist afterwards tried to blame it on the visor. Friend got refund which is good.
I went to a hair salon - I'd been once before but it seemed good - passed it on way home from work, bought products there etc.
Went there post lockdown asked for full head blonde highlights - showed picture - of dark blonde/mousey hair with almost grown out highlights - stylist/colorist proceeded to dye my hair a bleached blonde (luckily not at roots) - I admit I wasn't paying attention as I thought he was adding colour (highlights) afterwards and putting a base colour on first - this has been done before, also he seemed very experienced etc.
When I saw what happened - I was furious, refused to pay and stormed out.
The reactions from another local hairdresser (I used to go there and also they do my DM's hair) were of shock and when I mentioned the stylist (very recognisable due to accent etc) they told me he'd done this before, ruined haircuts etc!
Luckily a few months on I've actually gone darker and love it - nearer my natural colour so he's almost done me a favour.
The stylist who ruined my hair - seemed to be going from one client to another which I personally wouldn't do especially after lockdown.
I've since seen online - post lockdown - lots of hair and beauty disasters!
