Gel nail set

londongirl12 · 28/10/2020 11:55

With Covid tier/ lockdown looming, and also thinking about what to ask for for my birthday/Christmas, I was thinking of asking for a Gel nail set (lamp, varnish, tools etc). Can anyone recommend any? I'm not looking super expensive, but want something decent. (UK based)

Thanks Smile

The mylee full works set is amazing. It has everything you need for £130

Thank you, that's the one I've been looking at! I love having my nails done but I find it hard to get the time to go to the salon, and I can't be bothered with normal nail varnish as it chips after a day!

I really rate blue sky for polishes. I don't have their lamp so can't comment on that but they do have a starter kit. They are very reasonable too

I bought the mylee starter kit in lockdown #1 and its been fab. However I was recently given some sensationail polish and I actually find this better than the mylee / mygel polish. The mylee 5 in builder gel is fab! Would not be without it, along with the base and top coat.

I went for the LED & UV lamp combination

Thank you. I found the mylee set on groupon, so I've made DH buy that for me for Xmas Wink

How do you all remove them? I am pretty good at applying gel polish but my nails grow super fast and within a week I need to remove the colour. It always seems such a faff soaking, scraping etc. Is there an easier way?

You can get peel off base coat which is good. But to be honest they aren't that hard to take off. I usually can do it sub 20mins talking on the phone (with my teeth - don't shout at me!)

HappyAnimals · 30/10/2020 12:34

Thanks @TableDesk ooops I too have found my teeth better than any tool.
I'll have a look for the peel off base coat though
