Waterproof and warm trousers

whoareyouIwonder · 28/10/2020 09:42

Hello!

I live on the edge of a beach with a 2 year old.

I'm looking for waterproof trousers that are warm but equally are flexible so I can bend down/run around etc in them

All the ones I've seen are either thin and not warm or thick and not flexible

I got some Swampland ones on Amazon that are amazing. Fleece lined and totally waterproof. They're no longer available, but these look pretty much identical.

Le Chameau are great. I got 2 pairs reduced to £34 each from Brand Alley last week.

I have soft shell trousers from Amazon (wearing them right now) - bit like fleece lined neoprene but not tight. Great for gardening, standing on the touchline of outdoor sports, sitting in the damp etc. Best things I ever bought

Ski trousers from Decathlon

Has anyone tried the ones from Açai? They look good but are expensive

VetOnCall · 06/11/2020 23:59

@EeeByeGummieBear I have 3 pairs of the Açai skinny trousers - 2 mid weight in different colours and 1 thermal, and I really like them all. They are quite pricey but I've had a lot of wear out of them. They're smart enough for me to wear to work as well as for walking the dogs, hiking etc.

My craghoppers .... I think stretch waterproof are so nice

Cupoftchaiagain · 07/11/2020 06:44

I have the craghoppers (not waterproof but quick dry) and wear them over merino wool thermals. Good so far!

Thanks @VetOnCall. I might give them a go! I'm looking for trousers for dog walking and football watching. I might try the thermal ones!
