Fed-up slobbing around - need some inspiration

It's a quiet morning at mine, so I'm busy MNetting Wink

At home I've always hung around in my 'comfy stuff' but prior to 'All Things Covid' I worked full time, so would only have comfy stuff on in the evenings. Would be out and about at the weekends too, so in normal clothes then.

Now I'm pretty much at home all day everyday and just so fed-up of 'comfies' and feeling a right slob. It's all old, tatty and full of holes.

I wore a favourite pair of comfy trousers to the tip the other day.... after stretching in and out of the car boot for a good 10 minutes I get a tap on the shoulder from a staff member.

"Don't mean to embarrass you love, but your trousers have split..."

Flustered I then told him

"oh I know, it's ok, I've got pants on but they're nude, it's not my bottom you can see..."

Errr, hello?! What sort of reply was that?

Blush I need some help! Please inspire me with some outfit ideas!

Oh wow, yes you do need help! Where do you usually shop?

What a nice tip person!

I’ve always worn “house clothes” at home - joggers, Bobbly jumpers etc - and back in March realised that I needed to have a clear cutoff between work and not-work. So I put on makeup and get properly dressed in the morning, then change after 5. I’m not wearing work clothes, but more the kind of thing I would wear to go out for lunch at the weekend - jeans and a nice jumper, sometimes a midi dress. I’m a lecturer so on camera a lot, which possibly forces my hand a bit.

You could always just upgrade your comfy clothes?

Agree with @Judystilldreamsofhorses that maybe you should upgrade your 'loungewear' if you can afford it. Tons of retailer have upped their game with respect to this. If you have the dish try hush or ASOS are good too, and even F&F ( my favourite pair of knitted joggers are from tesco)
