Keeping legs warm!

So every time we see models wearing this season's dresses, they have bare tanned legs with their chunky boots and trainers! How are we all keeping our legs warm?? Particularly concerned what I'm going to wear with the lovely sage green sweatshirt dress I have coming from Oliver Bonas. Black opaques which is the only thing I normally wear are going to look odd aren't they??

I think bare legs would look much odder, as well as being inpractical on a cold winter day.

Leggings under skirts always, until it gets too cold anyway. I hate tights but do submit to them when I have to. Buy cheap leggings and chop them off at the right length for your skirt so they don't show. Also recommend M&S's culotte underslip for an extra layer!

I'm assuming your dress is a midi or longer by the way, short dresses necessitate opaques at this time of year, don't have to be black though. Burgundy is a surprisingly adaptable colour for tights, or with a green dress go for dark green or navy instead?
