Gel nail costs

How much do your gel nail costs? And how often do you get them done?

The salon I used to go to is now £27 for OPI gel nails. It's a lovely salon quite swish so I get that bumps up the price.

I have been to a few other places but they are not as nice or clean or the result is not as good.

I cannot do it myself- I have tried! And failed!

That's about average where I am. Just remember cheap nails aren't nice and nice nails aren't cheap.

I pay £28 every 3 weeks.

Acrylics with gel or just gel on natural nails?

I have Biosculpture gel on my own nails and it is £25 - I have an appointment every 3 to 4 weeks (depending on how they are looking & when the lady who does them can fit me in (she works from her home and works around her children). Oh nearly forgot I'm in Surrey.

£21 every 3 weeks. The lady I go to has a cabin in her garden so no rent costs. She's brilliant and does everything from waxing to massages too, she worked in a salon for 16 years so has all the experience and qualifications.

£15 here for gel on natural nails, lasts about 3 weeks before it grows out

£24 every 2 weeks. They don't last for 3, sometimes barely for 2!

28 pounds every 3 weeks, my salon has a loyalty card that gets stamped and after 6 visits I get a half price set. Yay!

I pay £17 and I go every 2 weeks :)

2-3 layers of CND gel

Manicure, shaping and hand massage

Mine is £20 for gel in London, and I go every 2 or 3 weeks, though I've moved to dip powder as it makes my weak nails stronger. I've tried so many different salons from the posher high end types to the cheaper Vietnamese ones and my favourite is actually a super local Vietnamese one!

I'm a convert to doing them myself. I watched a few you tube videos and went from rubbish to brilliant in three tries. I buy good polish (CND shellac) which lasts 2/3 weeks and tried cheaper polish from Amazon which still lasts over a week. I got a lamp for Christmas and thought I'd never use it and then lockdown made me a pro😁
