I know this is an age - old problem (not the worst in the world to have, I know) but this is starting to feel like my own personal quest for the holy grail. I want a pair of black trousers. It's a requirement for my uniform (hospitality). On paper I don't think it's an impossible find but I'm finding it impossible to find just what I want! Brief: black cotton straight-leg chino-style trousers in a 32" leg. High waisted preferably (post-babies) & not too much more than £20 (they can get grubby working behind a bar & I'm on minimum wage) Am I asking too much?
I had a pair of those classic sort of polyester-y black 'work' trousers but I hated them. I got a pair of black cotton ones from Gap from Ebay that almost fit the bill but are a bit too low slung. Men's trousers fit the bill better I think but I don't have straight hips! I've been looking for ages on ebay & in the usual places - Next, New Look etc but no joy. I thought I'd found a pair recently in sainsburys (they were black denim) but they had a really strong chemical smell, possibly from the dye, which persisted after several washes & made everything else in the wash smell, so I returned them. Of course they had already started to fade because they were denim.
Good on ya if you read to the end of this and I'll send you all the
&
if you can help!
