Please help me to find a coat!

I’m looking for a winter coat - I think I’d like it to be charcoal/dark grey in colour. I’d like it to be well cut, stylish and modern. It needs to be knee length or a little shorter. The slightly tricky thing is that I’d like something that is good quality and would usually go for something with high wool content, but I need this coat to wear whilst out for a winter walk, etc. (i.e. rain/a toddler’s muddy feet are likely to come into contact with it!).

For style context, I wear quite a lot of patterned vintage blouses and want to offset this a little with my coat, if that makes sense?!

I think I've looked at every winter coat there is this winter! I want a Ted Baker one (30% off at the moment) but they don't have the lovely colours they had last year. Ebay could work but obviously you can't return it if it doesn't fit.
Charcoal ones haven't been jumping out at me but have you looked at Hobbs, Monsoon, Phase Eight...?

Hobbs have got some gorgeous coats...Boden have some with a vintage feel, but not in charcoal. This is charcoal tweed...it takes time to search the House of Bruar website, but it might be worth a look.

Oldraver thanks for that, I'd forgotten about BrandAlley but it's brilliant. Didn't have the coat I was after but bagged a bedding set and some toys I was going to get my dc for Christmas!

Thank you for the suggestions - definitely some ideas for places I haven’t yet looked! I’m afraid I don’t think I explained very clearly in my first post re. “offsetting vintage blouses” - these are quite patterned and often floral and I’m looking for something that’s a bit edgier/modern so that I don’t look like a walking vintage catalogue! 😂
