Itchy scalp shampoo for child

Can anyone recommend a shampoo for a 5yo that has an itchy scalp occasionally please? A few times a week he will really scratch his scalp furiously for a couple of minutes and then he’s fine. He says it’s itchy. It started during the August heat wave and the hairdresser said her DD’s were the same and she thought it was sweat but we are long past a heatwave now!

We have repeatedly thoroughly checked his hair and scalp and definitely no nits, eczema, dermatitis or dandruff etc. Pharmacist gave us Selsun but all it does is smell dreadful for days.

Currently use Child’s Farm shampoo which seems to be the least irritating so far.

Not a shampoo but Eucerin do a great Calming Scalp Treatment that you put directly on to the itchy bits.
Body Shop also do something similar in their ginger range, haven’t tried that one (although the Ginger shampoo works wonders on DD’s flaky scalp) but can definitely vouch for the Eucerin.

Ginger shampoo from the body shop. My daughter and I use it, due to itchy scalps. It's the only shampoo that's calmed it down, we have tried many others in the past. This is the only one that's worked for us. No more itchy scalp.
