I have a Barbour Bedale, its still going 20 years later! so they last, but they aren't pretty. Depends what you want to wear it for. I probably would choose a classic style though, simply because they are meant to be practical not pretty, and because it lasts so well you don't want something that will look odd in a few years.

Not seen any reviews but it looks like a decent parka. The faux fur is detachable.

Is it waxed?

For the money, I'd go for something more 'technical' or a more traditional barbour. If you look after them they last for decades.
