Tights help for plus sized

So I'm a size 18 and keep ending up wearing leggings with my dresses because I can never find a decent pair of tights. I have tried snag tights and hated them, they seem so shiny and make a noise when you walk. I prefer a wollen style tight but one that's still tidy, not chunky looking and would love any that aren't just black. Thanks

John Lewis Egyptian cotton are lovely and fit well.

They also do smooth wool and ribbed wool, the ribbed is not too chunky.

I struggle to find tights too. I'm an 18 but I'm also tall so I find general large sizes in the shop don't fit people who are tall if your over a size 14-16! Primark is so frustrating for this! I have been buying their footless fleece lined tights which are very comfy but not an ideal look unless your wearing boots. I found long tall sally ones to be the best they are good height wise and also do bigger waist sizes so perfect fit but they've stopped doing 100 denier and only go up to I think 20 or 30 now! Have yet to find any that fit well. Sorry can't help anymore but I'll also be checking out snag Thank you for that suggestion!

I'm a size 22 and have just bought some Snag tights. They are the most soft and comfortable tights I have ever had on. Wore them all day yesterday, and barely noticed I was wearing them.

Size 16 or 18 here, and I like the plain coloured woolly tights at White Stuff. I have deep red, mustard, teal, and green.

Sainsbury's thermal/ fleece-lined ones stay smart for quite a while.

Try Heist....expensive but super comfortable.

Have you tried the big bloomer company they do a variety of tights and have generous sizing

Snag tights are really good and come in loads of colours.

M&S are the best in terms of quality for me. The XL should work for you.

These and these are both excellent - I have a heart condition causing fluid retention so my size goes down and up, but I remain 5'3" tall ; however I believe these would fit taller or shorter women. They wash and wear very well.

Heist are great. Pricey but fab and the most top bit!

It's the tall and large bit that I find to be problematic. I think you're supposed to be one or the other!
