Box dye to lighten hair/highlights?

My hair at the moment is like a caramel blonde, having had highlights a couple of weeks ago.

It’s quite a warm colour, I’ve used a couple of purple shampoos that were recommended on here and they helped reduce the brassiness.

I want a lighter blonde though but don’t want to get anymore highlights, my hair isn’t in the best condition. Would a very light blonde box dye lift my hair to a light blonde? I’m thinking of a very light ash blonde?

If it's a brassy orange colour maybe try fanola no orange to reduce to warmth?
You would need a high lifting toner or to bleach the ends more to be able to dye it lighter. You could use a box bleach and then tone that but be careful😩

Box dye is still bleach. You'll make it worse if you try that.

The brassiness isn't to bad now, thanks to the the Fudge shampoo. I just want it a level or two lighter. I thought maybe something like the ultra light ash blonde in the Loreal preference may lighten it up, but at the same time I don't want to mess it up! I don't really want to get anymore bleach highlights but it looks like it may be the only way to get lighter. I'm not brave enough to use a box bleach, it would be a disaster!
