I'm a tall slim 54. Size 10/12. Am I too old for a leather jacket (biker style)? I love the look of midi skirt and leather jacket, but am unsure if I've left it too late to take the plunge.
Boden do one, and Baukjen have a nice one. Opinions please!

I’m 55, 5’8 and size 10, I have 2 and wear them a lot so you are definitely not too old in my opinion! Both are from All Saints, the Dalby, which is biker style but fairly plain is the most versatile. I also have the Cargo style which is more beaten up and edgy looking. I got that from a second hand shop and it’s a size too big but easier to wear with jeans and a sweater. Jigsaw do really nice ones too.

oooo i shall check our All Saints. Hadn't thought of them. Im also a little tempted by this, which is pleather - fake leather (ie plastic I assume!). I it looks good but I wonder if in real life it'll be obvious that its fakewww.jarrold.co.uk/departments/womens-fashion/coats-and-jackets/soyaconcept-gunilla-faux-leather-jacket?sku=24715287&utm_source=google&utm_medium=surfaces&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIyryuwIDK7AIVZWHmCh2raAUGEAQYASABEgIL7fD_BwE

Definitely not too old! My mum has several and is 66.

icelollycraving · 23/10/2020 06:45

Nope. Get the jacket!

TheoneandObi · 24/10/2020 08:08

Have ordered the pleather one and the spenny real one from Baukjen. I shall try both in and do a blind look test with DH. If he selects the Baukjen one I'll cry and have to squirrel it away for Xmas!

No don’t get pleather. It’ll be sweaty!

I’ve got a few Massimo Dutti leather jackets and I absolutely love them.

Favourite is a cropped biker in grey.
